Firefighters Tackle Blaze In Connemara

Firefighters are continuing to fight a blaze in the country’s biggest forest.

One unit of the fire brigade remains on the scene in Cloosh Valley in Connemara after it was largely brought under control last night.

However Mark Carlin of Coillte says up to 40 active forest fires across the country are causing damage worth millions of euro.
