Clare's Fire and Rescue service is warning of extra fire hazards as the Christmas festivities continue.
The main causes of fire at this time of year are candles left unprotected, fairy lights left on all night or improperly wired, Christmas trees falling over, open fires without fireguards, and decorations catching light.
The county's Chief Fire Officer, Adrian Kelly says with all these additional risks, its important people are extra safety conscious.
