Clare’s fire service dealt with a number of minor blazes over the weekend.

Last night fire-fighters were called to deal with a gorse fire near the Hand in Miltown Malbay – however it was quickly brought under control.
They were also called to a minor grass fire on the N 18 near Ballymorris over the weekend.
