Fine Gael MEP For Ireland South Says Gender Quota Removes Barrier For Women Accessing Politics

A Fine Gael MEP for Ireland South says gender quotas at the next general election will remove one barrier for women entering into politics.

Today marks International Women’s Day and celebrates those who have blazed a trail for other to follow suit.

A concerted effort is being made to increase female representation in the Dáil, with a 40% gender quota in candidate selection at the next general election.
