Fine Gael Councillors Selected for Local Elections

Fine Gael have selected their three sitting Councillors in the Kilrush electoral area to represent the party there in next year’s local elections.

Kildysart’s Oliver Garry, Bill Slattery of Lahinch and Gabriel Keating of Cross were all nominated by the party faithful to contest the eight-seat electoral area at a meeting in Spanish Point last night.

Earlier this week, Councillors Sean McLoughlin and John Crowe were selected to run in for the party in the Shannon electoral area, though it remains to be seen whether more names will be added to the ticket in the run-up to the vote in May.
