The Finance Minister says he's adopting a 'wait and see' approach to calls for a VAT compensation scheme for charities.

It's after the Dáil heard the Clare branch of the Red Cross raised 76,000 euro in funds to purchase a community ambulance, and that 16,000 of this was handed over in tax.
Minister Michael Noonan has responded by saying that there are some VAT refunds available, and that current EU laws, which are under review, leaves them with little options.
