A file is being prepared for the DPP in relation to a hit and run incident in Ennis on Wednesday night.
Gardai investigating the death of 38 year old Thomas Nowakowski questioned a woman in her thirties on Saturday and she was subsequently released without charge.
The body of 38 year old Mr Nowakowski was found on the roadside in Tobertascain on Wednesday night following a hit and run
Gardai immediately launched an investigation and a woman presented herself to Gardai on Thursday claming to have run over a body in the town and gave a detailed statement to officers.
Investigating gardai subsequently questioned a woman in her thirties on Saturday afternoon in connection with the incident and she was detained at Ennis Garda station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act
The woman was released a number of hours later and Gardai have confirmed to Clare FM that a file will be sent to the DPP in relation to the matter.
