Clare recorded the third highest number of callouts for rodents at the start of this year.
Figures from Rentokil show a 65% increase in callouts between January and March, with only Cork and Dublin accounting for a higher number than the banner county over that period.

Rodents are widely regarded as the number one pest threat for homes and businesses, and property owners and premises managers are advised to be aware, due to the significant damage they can cause to both properties and assets.
Rentokil’s Area Technical Manager, Colm Moore, says the increase is normally seen in September, not now.
