Fifth Anniversary Of Passing Of Anthony “Axel” Foley To Be Marked At Thomond Park

The family of Anthony Foley say Munster Rugby is continuing to live up to their values of looking out for their own, five years on from his death.

The Killaloe rugby player died suddenly while in Paris with the time five years ago and his anniversary will be marked in Thomond Park tomorrow.

Munster will be taking on provincial rivals Connaught and their squad have vowed to honour the legendary number 8, in front of both his family and what’s set to be he biggest crowd of the season.

His sister Orla says the team honours Axel on an ongoing basis and not just on the anniversary of his death.
