Fianna Fáil Leader Micheal Martin has welcomed the British Labour Party’s new vision for the UK after it leaves the EU.
The party’s shadow Brexit secretary says Britain could stay in the single market during any transition period – which could last years.
Deputy Martin says there’s now an onus on all Governments across the EU to prevent a hard Brexit and ensure Britain remains in the customs union during the transition period.
