Met Eireann has confirmed that last month was the wettest February on record in Co. Clare.
Over 9 inches of rain was recorded at its Shannon Airport monitoring station, the highest amount recorded in February since records began 74 years ago.

It’s over three times the typical amount of rainfall there.
Last month was also the windiest February on record at Shannon Airport.
