Feasibility Study To Examine Market Attraction At Kilrush Mars Cinema

A feasibility study is underway in West Clare to examine the potential for a business or market attraction at a former cultural landmark.

Tourism Development International has been awarded the tender to identify a new use for the old Mars Cinema in Kilrush, with concept plans to be presented next month.

The 850 capacity facility opened in 1950 and was the first port of call for the pictures, drama and occasional opera in the West until its doors closed in 1991.
