Fears Unexpressed And Unresolved Grief Will Cause Future Mental Health Issues

The Communications Officer for the Diocese of Killaloe claims there’s an urgent need to investigate the long term effect of restricting access to funerals on people’s mental health.

Catholic Bishops have urged the Taoiseach to allow more people into a Church for a funeral service as well as easing restrictions around mass.

Under level five restrictions, only ten people can attend a funeral, which Fr Brendan Quinlivan says places an intolerable burden on families at a very difficult time to chose who can attend.
