It's feared strike action by nurses could close hospital beds.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action yesterday – in their ongoing dispute over pay and conditions.
The union says other countries are offering attractive packages to encourage Irish nurses to move abroad.
General Secretary of the INMO Liam Doran says more needs to be done to keep nurses here.
