Fears Over Private Sector Pension Plan

The largest Pension provider in the state, Irish Life is closing it’s staff pension scheme.

It’s prompted fears that it’s defined benefit plan will now disappear from the private sector.

The Irish Independent reports that unions at the company want the law urgently changed in a bid to stop the company closing the plan for 1,200 staff.
