Fears of spead of headshop products throughout Clare.

 

Concerns about headshops in Clare are stretching further than Ennis following an alarming incident in North Clare.

It comes as the government has announced plans to ban certain drug products sold in the retail outlets nationwide including two in Clare’s county town.

Ennis Councillors say they’ve been contacted about the controversial shops by people in Lahinch and Ennistymon, who are concerned that legal highs and alternative drugs substances are being brought into their area from the county town.

The latest developments in the head-shop controversy were raised by members of Ennis Town Council, including Frankie Neylon and Johnny Flynn, who says one family in North Clare have had a terrifying experience
