In Egypt, thousands have crowded into Cairo’s Tahrir Square this morning, after the country’s Supreme Court last night ruled to dissolve the Parliament.

Separately, they’re to allow Hosni Mubarak’s last prime minister, Ahmed Shafiq, to run in tomorrow’s presidential election.
The move is seen as paving the way for the ruling military to assume parliament’s powers – which it’s feared will bring fresh turmoil to Egypt.
