Fears have been expressed that Clare will lose droves of tourists if drastic action isn’t taken to fix the county’s roads.
Sixmilebridge representative PJ Ryan has called for the routes to the main tourist attractions to be improved, especually the Ennis to Ennistymon road.
He also wants to see roads in East Clare tackled, ahead of the opening of Holy Island as a major new tourist attraction in the coming years.
