It’s claimed Clare County Council is being left short-changed by over 460 thousand Euro for road repair bills arising from the Gort-Crusheen bypass.

Galway County Council is the lead agency on the bypass project, as most of the route lies in Galway, and had agreed to pay half a million Euro to fund the repair of roads damaged during it’s construction.
However, to date, less than forty thousand Euro has been received.
Ruan Councillor Joe Arkins feels that action needs to be taken to address this immediately.
