Fears Chance For Resolution To Blake’s Corner Issues Could Be Lost

A North Clare Councillor fears that poor communication over a review of the government’s Capital Spending Plan could scupper an opportunity to resolve traffic issues at Blake’s Corner in Ennistymon.

A public consultation for the review was launched at the end of March, but this was announced only by press release, taking many Councillors by surprise when they learned about it in recent days.

The deadline for submissions is this Sunday, and Clare County Council is expected to have its say in a bid to secure some of the 2.65 billion euro of new projects will be included.
