Father Harry Bohan To Be Named This Year’s Local Hero At Best Of Clare Awards

A long-serving priest, hurling manager and community activist is being honoured for his contribution to Clare life at an award ceremony this evening.

Father Harry Bohan will be named this year’s ‘Local Hero’ at the Clare FM Best of Clare Awards in the Old Ground Hotel later on where he will receive a specially-designed award sculpted by Michael McTigue.

The Feakle native celebrated his Diamond Jubilee for 60 years ministering as a priest last year and managed the Banner’s senior hurlers to back-to-back league success in the late 1970s.
