A woman in her fifties has died in a crash in Co. Galway.

She was the sole occupant of a car which struck a wall at New Gate on the Kiltomer to Portumna/Laurencetown Road, between half seven and 8 this morning.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene – and her body taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
