The family of a young child who lost his life in a road traffic crash in Shannon have issued an urgent call for additional safety measures to be put in place on the road where he died.
10-year-old Dylan Coady-Coleman passed away from serious injuries he sustained after being struck by a vehicle at Purcell Park in February last year.
His family have launched an online petition calling for speed bumps in the area to be upgraded, a monitored CCTV system to be put in place and for an increased Garda presence in the area.
Dylan’s aunt Lisa has told Clare FM’s Morning Focus they won’t ever fill the void left in their lives without him and they want to prevent that from happening to another family.
