Family of Man Who Died on Trolley at UHL “Devastated” after Inquest

The Shannon-based solicitor for the family of a man who died on a trolley at University Hospital Limerick, having presented as a "very urgent" case, says they're devastated at what happened.

Darragh Curley from Castletroy in Limerick died on what has been described as an "incredibly busy night" in the hospital in July 2013 after taking an overdose of tablets.

His partner called an ambulance for him and he was taken to the hospital but did not receive the treatment he needed, including that he did not receive the benefit of cardiac monitoring.

Solicitor Catriona Carmody represented Darragh's parents at the inquest and says the family has now gained some answers but are devastated by the loss of Darragh.
