The so-called Islamic State group deliberately trapped families in west Mosul to use as human shields – according to a new report from Amnesty International.
It also shows Iraqi forces and the US-led coalition used imprecise, explosive weapons which killed thousands of civilians – which it says may constitute war crimes.

It wants an independent commission set up to investigate – with the findings made public.
