There was a significant drop in the number of building projects granted planning permission in the first quarter of this year.
Planning authorities gave the green light to 38 new homes and three apartments here between January and March, a period of time which was mostly unaffected by COVID-19.
The quarterly figure is akin to levels of activity seen in the years after the economic crash, and before the construction sector had somewhat recovered.
