There has been a significant fall in the number of new cars registered in the last two months in Clare compared with the same time last year.
According to Society of the Irish Motor Industry, the county witnessed 1333 cars sold in January and Feburary this year, a decrease of almost 12.5% from the same period in 2016.
This was a larger fall than the national figure which saw a contraction of almost 8.5%, with a 20.5% decrease in February alone.
