The number of people signing on the Live Register fell by 2,600 in May – a decrease of 0.7 per cent, seasonally adjusted.

The CSO says in unadjusted terms, there's been an 11 per cent decrease in the number of people on the dole in the past year.
The number of men on the dole fell by 13 per cent in the year; and the number of women fell by almost 8 per cent.
The highest decrease was in the Mid-West which was down 12.2 per cent on last year.
