There's been a fall in the number of Clare students receiving grants to help fund their third level education.
Figures in today's Irish Independent show 2,122 Clare students received supports for the academic year which ended last summer.

This, however, represents a fall of 416 on the number for two years previously and in percentage terms, the fall is one of the biggest of any county in Ireland.
The study shows that, in general terms, the number of students from rural counties who had received supports had fallen.
