The Football Association of Ireland has confirmed it accepted a payment of 5 million euro from FIFA to avoid the start of legal action.

It relates to a hand-ball by Thierry Henry in the Republic of Ireland's 2010 World Cup play-off defeat to France.
F-A-I chief executive John Delaney felt his organisation had a legal case against FIFA.
The money would have been given back had Ireland qualified for the 2014 finals, which they didn't, so the loan was written off.
