Extension Of Parental Leave ‘Too Little, Too Late’

The government’s plans for a three-week extension of parental leave has been described as ‘too little, too late’.

Parents who had a baby during the COVID-19 pandemic will get an extended three weeks leave, but it won’t come into effect until after October’s budget.

The decision has been criticised by many, including new mothers who had campaigned for three months extra maternity leave.
