A new plan aiming to significantly reduce overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick through short term interventions is expected to be published next week.
In May, a crisis team involving former Irish Emergency Medicine Association President Dr Fergal Hickey, HSE National Director of Acute Hospitals Grace Rothwell and Director of Nursing at University Hospital Waterford Orla Kavanagh, were tasked with identifying solutions to alleviate pressure at the regions main hospital.
