Helping small businesses to enter international markets will be the primary target for Clare’s local Enterprise Office in 2024.
New figures show that LEO supports led to the creation of 189 jobs across the county last year, with the greatest growth coming in the Engineering sector.
Up until 2023, the Local Enterprise Office only had the remit to provide assistance to businesses with up to ten employees, but this has now been increased to 50 employees.
Clare LEO Head of Enterprise Padraic McElwee says that forming trade links in Europe will be crucial for all industries here going forward.
