Families right across the country are having tearful reunions at Shannon Airport this morning as the first Christmas Eve flights land in.
Emigrants living in the UK, America and further afield are coming in for their Christmas break at home, with dozens of families waiting impatiently for them.

Planes from New York and Boston have landed in the past few hours while the first landings from the UK will be coming in from 10am.
