A series of events aimed at ensuring that Clare children are safe when travelling is beginning today.

The Road Safety Authority's 'Check it Fits' Roadshow is in Clare this week, and runs at the Roslevan Shopping Centre in Ennis until 5:30 this evening.
Tomorrow it will be at the Skycourt in Shannon and on Friday in Supervalu in Kilrush.
Gardaí here, meanwhile, are also embarking on a campaign to ensure that children are wearing seatbelts properly.
Sergeant Darragh Molloy of the Clare Garda Traffic Corps says a correctly fitted seatbelt could be the difference between life and death.
