The President of the European Parliament says Ireland should be given a deal on our bank debt before the end of the year.

Martin Schulz made the remarks during an address to Dail this morning.
He said Irish taxpayers are now paying the bankers bills to stop a domino affect which could have dragged the whole European banking system down.
