EU Must Take Brutally Honest Assessment Of Problems Says EC President

The EU must take a "brutally honest" assessment of its problems, according to the president of the European Council.

Donald Tusk has been speaking as EU leaders gather in Slovakia – without the UK – to discuss the future direction of the union.

The Taoiseach is at the Bratislava summit  which it's hope will find consensus on a way forward for the union.

President of the European Council, Donald Tusk has been very frank about how fragmented the EU is becoming with BREXIT and the immovable positions from some member states on the refugee crisis.

He said this morning will start with a sober and brutally honest assessment of the situation.
