EU Gas CAP Vital To Prepare For Energy Challenges Next Winter Says MEP

An MEP for this region says the newly agreed EU gas cap is vital to prepare for an even more challenging energy crisis next winter.

European Union energy ministers yesterday agreed upon the mechanism, which will cap natural gas prices in the bloc at €180 per megawatt hour.

It took four months for the 27 EU member states to agree to the measure, which will come into effect from February 15th.
