ESRI Report Claims Ireland Would Suffer If ‘Brexit’ Happens

A report from the ESRI claims a British exit from the European Union could lead to lower wages, higher prices and major trade losses for the Republic.

British prime minister David Cameron has committed to holding a referendum on EU membership by the end of 2017.

The ESRI says it could also lead to passport controls at the Border and restrictions on free movement between Britain and Ireland for work.
