ESB Plays Down Flooding Threat In South-East Clare

The ESB has increased the level of discharge from Parteen Weir following heavy rain over the past number of days.

600 cubic metres of water per second is arriving at the Parteen Weir, 400 of which is being disharged through the headrace, power station and tailrace at Ardnacrusha.

Based on the current weather forecast, it’s expected that the similar levels will be maintained over the coming five days.
