The Environmental Protection Agency is warning the people of Clare not to become complacent about the use of pesticides.
It comes as Irish Water has reported no exceedances of pesticides in the county’s public drinking water supplies last year.

MCPA, which is found in many commonly used herbicide products, was detected in the Ennis and Shannon-Sixmilebridge drinking water supplies in 2019 and 2020.
Senior Inspector on the EPA’s Drinking Water Team, Dr. Michelle Minihan is asking the public not to fall back into old habits.
