Ennis Woman With Haemochromatosis Urges Others To Get Checked For Condition

An Ennis woman who is one of thousands of people living with the most common genetic condition in the country is urging those with symptoms to get checked out.

World Haemochromatosis Week begins today, with ‘iron overload’ as it’s also known affecting around 1 in 83 people in Ireland.

The disorder can lead to tiredness, depression, joint and abdominal pain and weight loss.
