A Ennis woman is calling for more supports in the county for people suffering from chronic pain.

Nancy Kelly has experienced ongoing pain which as triggered by a car accident 24 years ago and the former nurse has been diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome, osteoarthritis of the spine with 7 disc bulges and also suffers with migranes.
Chronic Pain Ireland will run a self-management course in Ennis today 11am to 2pm at the Temple Gate Hotel.
Nancy says while this approach to pain management has been very useful for her, there is a severe shortage of services in the region.
