Train services through Ennis have resumed following temporary closures owing to a tragic accident.
A person was truck and fatally injured by a train between 9:30am and 10am this morning resulting in the suspension of all routes through Portlaoise.

Gardaí have attended the scene and all services were resumed at 12:17 this afternoon.
Residual delays are expected and Irish Rail has advised those travelling to Croke Park this afternoon to make alternative arrangements.
