A hugely popular traditional Irish music festival is set to make its return to Ennis next week.
In what is a landmark year for Ennis Trad Festival, the County town will once again come alive with the sounds of traditional Irish music.
Ennis Trad Fest kicks off on Thursday, November 7th, running right through the weekend until Monday the 11th.
This annual festival, now in its 30th year, promises an unforgettable experience for music lovers, featuring a stellar lineup of musicians, workshops, and cultural events.
Organiser Blackie O’Connell says the festival gives people the opportunity to see the best of what both traditional Irish music and the town of Ennis has to offer.
Some of the main attractions of Ennis Trad Fest 2024 include the Michael McGoldrick Big Band, Sharon Shannon and her band, the Five Counties Céilí Band and the Clare Youth Trad Orchestra.
Masterclasses in instruments such as accordion, banjo, concertina, fiddle, flute and uilleann pipes will be held across the weekend along with the festivals famous trad discos
Ennis Municipal District Senior Engineer, Seán Lenihan says the festival has attracted massive names within the space, worthy of gracing stages internationally.
