Ennis town Council hopeful new Inner relief road and better signage to help with parking situation in Town

Managment at Ennis Town Council believes the impending opening of the Inner Relief Road coupled with increased signage should improve the parking situation in Clare County town.

Ger Dollard’s been reacting to calls for a reduction in the car parking fees in an effort to bolster trade, after a recent Retail Excellence Ireland Survey  placed Ennis in 61st position out of 100 towns nationally with particular criticism over parking prices and availablity.

However he’s informed local councillors that a cut of just 10 cent in the 1.30 an hour parking fee could impact on the council’s to the tune of 70 to 80 thousand euro.
