Ennis Tidy Towns has called on local people to do their bit to make the county town presentable and appealing ahead of the international “Communities in Bloom” competition.
Ennis has been chosen as the Irish representative at the event, having previously been crowned Ireland’s Tidiest Town in 2021 and Ireland Tidiest Large Urban Centre in 2022.
The town will face competition from the winners of Britain in Bloom, America in Bloom, Japan in Bloom, Italy’s Comuni Fioriti as well as other countries with communities competing with each other based on population.
Ahead of Ennis’s assessment day on July 24th, Ennis Tidy Towns Chair Cormac McCarthy says it is an opportunity to showcase the town on the world stage.
