Ennis Solicitor Warns Rules Of Road Will Continue To Be Exploited

A prominent Ennis Solicitor fears that rules of the road will be exploited by Clare motorists if speeding cases continue to be thrown out of court.

Darragh Hassett is commenting in light of moves to notifiy the Garda Commissioner about the ongoing failure of the Go Safe Speed Van operators to properly prosecute speeding offences in the county.

Nine cases were thrown out at Ennis District Court this week – in two of those cases there was insufficient evidence and in seven, the Go Safe Officer didn’t present in court.
