The Sisters of Mercy in Ennis say they would welcome a proposal to acknowledge their donation of land to the council.

The order of nuns gave the – then Ennis Town Council, two acres for the creation of the area now known as Friars Walk.
The issue was raised by Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy who had told Cllrs that the Sisters were irrate their donation isn't recognised in some way.
