Councillors in Ennis have been told the Sisters of Mercy in the town are irate that their donation of land for Friars Walk hasn't been acknowledged.

Cllr Paul Murphy says he's been approached by a number of Nuns who say they are very upset that the two acres they donated several years ago is not recognised.
He's called for the Walkway to be renamed Bóthar na Trócaire – however that hasn't received Ennis Municipal District backing.
Members of the local authority now hope to meet with the Sisters of Mercy to find a solution.
